Orphaned River Otter Pup Gets a Second Chance

Via Point Defiance Zoo, which writes:

🦦 A second chance for a young river otter! 💙

Last week, a juvenile river otter in southwest Washington was found alone, hypothermic, and dehydrated after her family was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle. Thanks to the quick response of U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service staff, expert veterinary care at Point Defiance Zoo, and the dedicated team at Center Valley Animal Rescue, this little otter is now stable, eating well, and socializing with other otters. With time, she has a hopeful path back to the wild. 🌿
