Watch This Sea Otter Pup Get Reunited With Its Mom

A sea otter pup recently stranded on the beach at Morro Bay 😰 Here’s how our San Luis Obispo team reunited Caterpillar with its mom👇

⏳ Searched for mom by boat for 2 hours
🔊 Recorded & played the pup’s vocalizations over a Bluetooth speaker
👀 Watched a female otter following & approaching the boat many times
🦦 Placed the pup into the water for mom

After Caterpillar and mom were reunited, the team watched for another hour to be sure the pair was safe. We love a happy ending 🤩 Special thank you to our friends at the Morro Bay Harbor Department for assisting us with this rescue.
