We’ve all been affected by COVID-19 and all our favorite places have temporarily closed. It’s a very dangerous time for many organizations, and Vancouver Aquarium has found themselves approaching a tipping point. The aquarium, a non-profit that relies heavily on ticket sales and donations, is closed to the public but their staff is still hard at work caring for (and feeding) their many residents, including their rescued sea otters (who we know eat a LOT) - so they’ve sent out a call for help. If you are able to give, the aquarium is accepting donations, no matter how small the amount - and contributions are tax-deductible. If you live in Canada, contact your Member of Parliament to ask for help. You can also create a fundraising team if you like.

If you are able to donate, please consider doing so. I don’t feel great about asking people to part with their money, especially now, but Vancouver Aquarium has done so much for sea otters and they, like many other organizations featured here, hold a place in the Daily Otter’s heart.
