Goodbye and Good Luck, Sea Otter Pup 808!

Daily Otter followers know about Monterey Bay Aquarium’s sea otter surrogacy program, in which rescued pups are taken under the paws of the aquarium’s resident sea otters and taught all things otter. With a lot of work and some luck, the pups can then be released back to the wild!

Now meet sea otter pup 808, attacked by a shark (!) then rescued and brought to Monterey Bay Aquarium, where he recovered and learned the sea otter ropes from surrogate mother Rosa. He’s been released back to the wild - and we hope he has the best sea ottery life ever!

After surviving a shark bite, an orphaned sea otter pup came into our care. Dr. Mike patched him up, resident sea otter Rosa took him under her paws-and now, Otter 808 is ready for his next big adventure... ____ Whale hello there! We hope you liked this video.
