Shedd Aquarium and Alaska SeaLife Center Rescue a Stranded Sea Otter Pup!
Recently Shedd Aquarium teamed up with the Alaska SeaLife Center (ASLC) in Seward, Alaska, to send two Animal Response Team staff members to assist with rehabilitation and care for a rescued orphaned northern sea otter pup. After being rescued on March 15, the pup was deemed nonreleasable by the U.S.
This little guy was stranded on an Alaska coast, and after the mother could not be found, he was rescued and brought to the Alaska SeaLife Center. Alaska SeaLife brought in two members of Shedd Aquarium's Animal Response Team to help care for the pup - and he's doing really well, as you can see in this video!
