Thanks, Shirley! Shirley writes, "Peggy and her mate Otty were donated to [the International Primate Protection League] by Gloria and Jerry Thacker. While living with us (for the rest of their lives), they produced several litters including these quintuplets. The parents didn’t mind."

Shirley is the founder of the International Primate Protection League, a decades-old organization that works to "expose primate abuse and battle international traffickers. We also operate a sanctuary for gibbons (the smallest of the apes) in South Carolina and support primate rescue efforts worldwide, especially in countries where primates are native." While the sanctuary focuses on gibbons, they also have these pups, their other siblings, and their parents on the grounds, as well!
