Help Choose a Name for Sea Otter Pup 681!
Shedd Aquarium and Good Morning America need your help choosing a name for little Pup 681! Shedd traditionally gives their rescued animals names inspired by the locations in which they were found, and they've narrowed down the selection to five finalists for the public to vote on:
- Cali - To honor the California otter
- Ellie - A reference to Elkhorn Slough, home to many sea otters (or for Año Nuevo State Park, known for its elephant seals)
- Luna - Derived from nearby Half Moon Bay
- Poppy - California State Flower
- Aña or Anya - Derived from Año Nuevo State Park
Cast your votes here (look for the yellow bars at the top right-hand corner of the page) and submit votes as often as you like until the poll closes on Thursday, December 11 at 3 p.m. EST. Pup 681's new name will be revealed on Friday, December 12!
