Shedd Aquarium marked Halloween with all treats for aquatic animal residents. Frozen, yet festive enrichment items in the shape of pumpkins, spooky bats and greetings were shared with sea lions, sea otters and beluga whales at the aquarium. Enrichment activities aren’t just for fun but are an important part of animal care at the aquarium, creating opportunities for penguins to interact and explore.
